Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book?

Bookings are made through email off-the-canvas@outlook.com - we will need the dates/sessions your child is wanting to attend, and the completed Guardian Information Pack (link found on Parent Information). Once we have recieved this, we will send you a confirmation email and payment details.

Can I stay with my child during the sessions?

Of course! Joining a new club can be a little scary, so we completely understand that children may want their guardian/s with them whilst they settle in. Parents that do stay are asked to stay in the same room as Off the Canvas mentors and volunteers that have safeguarding training and DBS checks.

How many children will be in the session?

Each session is available for a maximum of 15 children. We feel it is more beneficial to keep group sizes small so not to overwhelm children with too many new components and faces.

My child is neurotypical - can they still attend?

Our sessions are aimed at ALL children! The sensory exploration is beneficial for all that join sessions and we foster an inclusive environment where all are welcome to explore.

What should my child wear?

Although we provide aprons, we recommend that children wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will be using a wide variety of resources, and want children to enjoy them rather than worry about ruining their clothes. Old, worn clothes and shoes are perfect.
